After 3 years, 33 chapters, 271 pages, 12,459 paragraphs, and 144,999 words later, my story, Birthday in a Valley, is almost done. It involves several friends from the ModDB community, all of whom are main characters. And my take on their personality through Private Messages and reading their comments and interests is reflected in their characters' personality to some extent. Won't know what to do with my life afterwards, except perhaps publish it and lay on a bed of millions of dollars, having daily raves, and inviting my friends over only so they can smoke money cigars with me (which will never happen*). Within a month it should be completely done - just this chapter to finish, one more after that, and maybe an epilogue, and everything will be ready to be edited without much else changing. *I mean the publishing won't happen - a starting author with a 100+ page story is not taken with fondness by Australian publishing companies - subsequently, and unfortunately, the rest will not happen either. Don't know how exactly to celebrate. I guess if you know Batman you'd like this:
